A companion to "RAF Illustrated History" and "British Naval Aviation", this detailed volume is a reworking of two earlier works by the author on the Royal Navy, fully updated and revised, together with an entirely new 20th century section comprising over half of the book. Illustrated with some personalities, warships and locations from around the world and 180 years of history it is a general history of this major force in warfare and world history, as well as an accurate record of the navy's actions.
